SoftSpace – Emotional Companion (“SoftSpace”, “extension”, “we”) is a gentle journaling tool that helps users reflect on their emotions. Your privacy matters deeply to us.

This policy describes what data we access, how it is used, and how we protect it.

SoftSpace is designed to be local-first, minimal, and transparent.

1. Information We Collect

SoftSpace collects only the information you intentionally provide inside the extension:

1.1 Text You Typed Into the Journal or Input Box

• Your journal entries
• Your mood descriptions
• The text you submit for emotional reflection

This information is stored locally in your browser’s Chrome storage.

It is never uploaded unless you intentionally click "Talk to me", which sends only that specific input to our backend for generating an AI reflection.

1.2 No Automatic Data Collection

SoftSpace does not collect:

• Browsing history
• Personal identifiers (name, email, etc.)
• Location data
